    in what markets was it known as a lantra? In Portuguese its the name of a nut fed to pigs...

    Here in N.A. it is known as a Elantra...

    IIRC here (Spain) at first it was known as the Lantra, which was eventually changed to Elantra.

    I spent 14 or 15 years in two Hyundai Lantra's, this model of the Hyundai Lantra and a 1997 Hyundai Lantra sportswagon SE, these cars are not as bad as many people say they are.

    Wasn't this gen called "Excel" in some markets too?

    Saw a Lantra today, so I guess here in AUS it's the Lantra too. Although I could swear I've seen Elantras too.
