Probably the Ford Escort Wagon. That was pretty bad. Trim pieces that didn't line up properly. It eventually threw a rod. Then we threw it out.

    End of story.

Sorry Kitdy, there is in fact a couple of these threads already:

    http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum...you-drove.html

    http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum...er-driven.html

I believe my answer in one of them was my friend's 1980something Fiat Uno. What a piece of shit that was.

Funny you should mention those... I loved our old '98 Escort (323-based) despite its lack of working gauges and only running on 3 cylinders.
Don't know what gen. the Laser was, but I found the shifting to be a bit vague, but not bad at all. Certainly better than the crunchfest on our '09 Civic, which I would probably nominate.

Relatively, the A6 3.2. For what it should've been you could do so much better.

Overall, the Mk I Scenic 1.6e we used to have. Altough for what it was I wouldn't say it was a bad car.

The one I mentioned was an early 90s one.

i've only driven about a dozen diff. cars but the clear-cut worst, hands down, no contest is the 1991 Buick Century that my grandpa used to own. Clunky auto transmission, xtremely late throttle pick up, sloppy steering, and a very small steering wheel. It was like tryin to drive w/ one of those Top Fuel Dragster grips that just connected at the top and bottom. The only good thing i can say about it is that once it did find the throttle it was pretty peppy. Another bad one is the 2005 Chevy Colorado that my uncle owns, the I-5 in it is soooooo underpowered, it was a nightmare

So far, the original Lancia Delta, for being just a brick on wheels. Those wheels are connected to the car with four stupidly soft dampers, so the key was inertia. On the other hand reports are it won a fight with a wall. The radiator didn't make it though.
    I wasn't there.

From an ergonomic point of view, the Fiat Punto mk3 (the last model before of the actually new car, the Grande Punto), for the less comfortable seats and driving position ever. After 30 minutes of driving the seat is swallowing you, and no matter what after 1 hour somnolence will be your best (or worst) friend. I remember a 200 km trip in the middle of the night, took like 3 hours, on the highway, with me and a friend driving.

Special mention to the first gen Skoda Fabia Wagon and its 3 cylinders diesel engine for letting you think it's a good engine and right sized for the car. Then you come back to your senses, and you hate it.

I remember driving the previous gen Polo with this engine, and the low powered version at that. It was able to achieve the sort of speeds it shouldn't be able to. It was rubbish at everything else, though.
