Is Your Car a Cop Magnet?

Saw this and thought I'd share: Is Your Car a Cop Magnet?- Yahoo! Autos Article Page

Even in LA CLS63s and CLK63s are rare, so for them to be the 4th and 6th most ticketed cars in America is sort of shocking. Particularly in light of not a single Porsche or BMW M is on the list.

The Scion TC makes a lot of sense, it's driven mostly by teenagers.. Hummers being #1 also makes a lot of sense since they're driven by douche bags.

My wife drives an '06 Scion Xa, which I own and is 7th on the list... So I guess it is. No tickets on that car so far though

    2. Chevrolet Suburban
Suburban drivers tend to need their large SUVs for hauling people or towing trailers, not breaking land speed records. So it's not surprising to see it on the list of least-ticketed cars.

    3. Chevrolet Tahoe
The Tahoe shares some architecture with the Hummer H2, the most-ticketed car in America. Despite the two having similar sizes, the Tahoe manages not to attract as much police attention.

    4. Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500
It's no shocker to find Chevrolet's heavy-duty trucks among the least-ticketed vehicles. These trucks are usually bought for their towing ability, not for impromptu drag races.
    False, in LA at least.

That study may have little to do with if your car is a cop magnet.

Speed cameras are more plentiful than ever these days and they don't know if you're driving a Gallardo, TC or a Yugo.

My company car is a Camry...the most vanilla and common car on the road...and the only ticket I've had in ten years was in it, 48 in a 35 caught on camera.

My personal car is red and sporty and I do drive over the speed limits 99% of the time.

Toyota Solara? Really? One of the most boring cars ever?

And the Ford F-150, Suburban and Tahoe should be most ticketed for the same reason why the Hummers are ticketed often.

    i need military ID.....

but it's about how you drive. just like a radar detector is useless without common sense.

of course its the people who hog the left lane and arn't paying attention that should be ticketed..... they hold everything up causing aggressive driving.

I've been pulled over a couple of times; EU license FTW. They rarely have the presence of mind to ask for my NC license.

Altezza tail lights are pretty much a surefire way of getting pulled over, iffin you're out late at night weekends. So.. a Hummer sporting Altezzas in the rear and a 400lbs donut on the roof would attract more cops than a Blues Brothers car chase?

Only when it's doing 80MPH in a 55MPH zone and the car behind it is unmarked...
