Edmunds Inside Line has a bit of a scoop today that the blogs have yet to pick up on - Benz has just released some specs for it's new supercar and the replacement for the SLR - the SLS AMG. To be released in 2010 as a 2011 MY, the SLS will feature a 563 hp / 470 lb.-ft. version of the 6.2L V8 dubbed M159 and will feature dry sump lubrication. This will be mated to a 7 speed dual clutch transaxle which will yield a weight distribution of 48:52.
The car will cost about 250K and also be gulwingy - it's supposedly gonna feature a ew aluminum construction technique to lower weight. The floorpan and body is made out of forged, cast, and sheet aluminum which sounds cool to me (but it's no carbon fibre).
Enjoy the spyshots below.
