Cool. This car is about the size of a Mini Cooper right? So it wouldn't seem to be that unsafe if it were to be brought over to NA.

It's smaller than a Mini Cooper, but not by too big a margin. It's bigger inside and safer - the first car in it's class to get 5 Star NCAP and it's been said that if they introduce the 6th star to the system, it should get that too...

As long as its not the size of a Smart car, I'm happy. That thing is too freakishly small.

No matter how safe the automaker says it is, I ain't driving that.

Yep, means in 160bhp guise it will probably be quicker than the comparatively lardy Mini.

since i'm italian, i guess i should know very well that site... and i do
it's probably one of the worst car sites i encountered, since it acts like it is a serious site, while it is just a kids blog...

Sign me up please!!! Will FIAT ever make an official return to the NA market, it would be really nice as up here in Vancouver people really love the little cars, that have sex appeal.

there have been rumors of importing the new 500 in the USA, so i guess it could happen also in Canada. the problem is the distribution network, since in the USA Fiat wouldn't sell any other cars probably, so the idea was to use the still to come Alfa Romeo network, but this would be based on the exiting Maserati network...there are some problems connected to selling a 10-15k $ citycar side by side to a Quattroporte...maybe in Canada it could be easier because there are more cars Fiat could sell over there.
