Bodies for Nobles are built in South Africa I think. Also, Ariel and Morgan use foreign engines, so there's that about it too.

I saw 4 MP4s at McLaren Toronto yesterday. They have two parked out front as opposed to inside like they were during the winter. It was nice to see one in Papaya Orange; not a colour one sees often.

I got to hear one idling as it was being loaded onto a transport truck. Ferrari of Ontario does not have an FF in the show room yet.

EDIT: Should be in the spotted thread, but I saw my first 8C I think. Maserati of Ontario had one on the floor.

I thought Apple's build process is to build stuff in China...
    Didn't know that.

Apple builds things in China, but their attention to detail is what I was talking about in comparison to McLaren.

I thought about that, but they make kit cars in addition to their normal cars, so I didn't really count that.

"Wholly," has several interpretations At least McLarens "attention to detail" isnt applied from Apple or every owner would have to buy a shiny new one every year.

BTW, I thought the McLaren guy's first line was what seperates it from Apple, not attention detail for detail's sake....

Apple did many things not because its better but because they wanted to, and they force their user to accept that....

That's slightly unfair.. they want to because they think it's better. We may not always agree, but they're not being different purely for the sake of being different.

which goes to show that "better" is subjective....

Awesome car.Probably the best and most comprehensive review of this car I've seen. Great technical explanation and analysis, unbiased and fair, covered all the really interesting features of the car. Great job guys!

So they're going to do a drop top MP4-12C.. What to name it? I'm thinking either MP4-12C-C or just MP4-12. The lack of 'C' indicates the convertibleness.

considering the monocell is just the passenger compartment, the chassis rigidity between open top and coupe is probably not affected....which is good news...

This was shot at the McLaren Technology Center. Car is much rarer than either a McLaren F1 or the 12C.
