Your Favorite Car from Your Birth Year

Just bored, so I decided to post up this thread.

Choose your favorite car from the year of your birth.

For me- it has to be the Acura NSX.

From memory, I thought it might have started production in 1989, so it may not be right, but it does say 1990 in the Wikipedia article.

1987 - Ford RS200 definately! I still would love to drive one, one day I heard they have one in the showroom of the dealership in my town now, so I might pop over soon!

I was born in 1978 which makes it difficult, but I'd say the Corvette C3
    Current - 2005 Hyundai Tucson 2.0 GLS
    Current - 1998 Honda Civic 160i Luxline

Lamborghini Diablo, started production in 1990.

To clear up, does the car have to have been released in your year of birth or just avaliable?
I want to die in my sleep like my Grandma, not screaming like the other 3 people in her car.

    Nice choices everyone.

I don't know, didn't really think about that- I guess released would be stricter, but available would do fine too I guess.

Come to think about it, the early 90s were the best time for Japanese cars- not too expensive, but plenty of nice cars all around.

    Honda- Integra, NSX, Prelude
    Nissan- 180SX, 300Z, Silvia
    Toyota- Supra, Celica, MR2
    Mazda- RX7, Miata

    Sigh... I'm being nostalgic again.

If I search my YOB in the UCP DB, my favourite road car result is Celica Supra MkII. Race cars is a toss up between the TA64 Group B Celica and the Lancia LC2.
Life's too short to drive bad cars.

    1961.

    First choice:
    1961 Cadillac Fleetwood Seventy-Five Limousine.

    Second choice:
    1961 Chrysler 300-G.

Since both of those cars were considered to be expensive, especially the Limousine, if I had to pick a "common" car, then it would be a '61 Plymouth Fury with a 383-4 bbl engine.

Not an easy choice coming from the golden age of European sportscars.
Lots of amazing cars (especially from Ferrari and Lancia) but Ulenhaut's 300SLR would do.

    I'm undecided between those three.

    1977 was a great year.

I've always loved the Lister Storm, too bad they only made 4.

I never understood Saabs, but I like your choice in the BMW.
