Life's too short to drive bad cars.
It's an '88 325i Touring that was UK delivered - they never sold them here. Manual everything (including sunroof!) so less things to break, and it's in really nice condition inside and out. 150K miles, the engine pulls well but idles a little rough but judging by the state of the oil it probably just needs a thorough servicing.

touring!! too damn cool.

How does the handling change with the Bonny in the back?
Congrats!
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
Thigns people suggest to non M3 E30 drivers.
Sick whip pim. Did you get the postie back? You can always throw it in the back now...
Loving those wheels. The headlight wipers are jokes. I can't recall seeing a touring before either.
Y U get wagon? You have woman/dog/Ikea needs?
You are now pimpin' pim. Triumph and E30 wagon? You got mad enthusiast cred, bro.
Keep it fresh, and many safe miles!
I am mad jelly right now.
The bonnie is a bit too big for the back.. besides, the clutch cable is busted so it's in a corner until there's a replacement part in the country. Apparently they're on back order from Triumph Aus. Postie might fit, it especially would if it was a suitcase CT90.. (they were designed to fold into a case to fit in stowage). Wagon because it's something different, and I like the idea of having load space next time I want to make something. The headlight wipers are funny, when I hit them they spray for ages.. not sure if the wipers actually wipe.
No mod plans as yet.. the front struts and exhaust are recently new, so that's nice. It does need better audio in it, the rear speakers are the original 4" ones..

2.7L stroker for easy way out..
Andreas Preuninger, Manager of Porsche High Performance Cars: "Grandmas can use paddles. They aren't challenging."
Oh for the love of.. 2.7 stroker I'd very seriously consider if I had to replace my block, or M54/S54/N54/N55/etc if it's possible and I had to replace the lot if it's possible without being stupid expensive. I'm not cross-pollinating or moving my engine bay, and I'm not making major structural changes. So there.

i know 2J fits no worries...
but end of the day 2.7L is the easiest option, don't have to change a thing. and it's one of those swaps you can do as an upgrade when the original equipment shits the bed.

You're one 1st-gen Miata away from achieving the ultimate Internet dream garage. Jealous I am.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
