Yeah, I know. These are sportscars and they shouldn't have a CDI. I think there was a C30 CDI AMG (or something similar). They are crazy!

Have you seen the horsepower and torque figures?
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

The SLR is a much more comlex car. If it was to incorporate the tri turbo, it wold likely take a LOT more time to develop.

I reckon it's aimed at Bowler Wildcats and other off road racers...

    No! Wait! Hear me out...

Normally when one has a sports car for track driving, it will be transported on a trailer, which will commonly be pulled by a big 4x4...

Maybe this way, they can do it the other way round!

If there were a diesel SLR there wouldn't be a problem with the supercharger because it would need an entirely new engine...

What about the engine sound ?
I hope they don't have a noisy diesel sound, the driver won't look proud when accelerating beside an M3 or a good V8 car

A V12 diesel has already gone through the first testing stages. With this new technology the SLR can be turned into an economy car and still outperform almost everything
