Well I think Honda is innovative, just out of touch with the market. The North American market really needs an Accord sized wagon. Europe, Japan, everywhere else gets it. Except for North America.

Everyone wants a mid engined RWD NSX. They're giving us an AWD front engined hyper expensive supercar-ish car. It's not like they haven't built it before, so they're certainly capable.

    You see what I mean?

Edit- I really love how far off topic we've all gone.

The world according to Ferrer. Amen.
The best Porsche I've ever driven had a flat four. The best Ferraris I've ever driven had V12s in the front. Coincidence? I think not.

All that aside, this is my favorite open Ferrari since the 550 Barchetta and it's certainly a car for which I'd put my V12 bias aside.

    That is entirely personal preference.

Were the best Ferrari's you've driven all older cars as well? If this is the case I'd say that the real "coincidence" is that you prefer older cars.

    Both old and new.

easily the best looking ferrari right now, it is just stunning how good it looks, i dont really agree with the idea of a fatter, slower 430 scud with a drop top but this is so cool looking that it doesn't even matter.

I don't agree with you there... The scuderia looks much better because it looks much more of a race ready car than the stock version...

the engine is basically the same, just with direct injection. but the position is completely different. I can guarantee you that this is a a standard manual gearbox electro-hydraulically operated with a double disc clutch both because as I said I never heard of such a thing from a guy working at the car, and because in the Italian press release it's wrote so.......

the same engine of the California will be found in the next F430 (headed for Frankfurt 2009) but with more bhp, while the rumored turbo engines should debute with the next Enzo in the form of a twin turbo V8, iirc.

those weren't the only cars with a 6 cylinder made in Maranello, and, btw, the Dino line-up lately evolved in the rear engined V8 sport cars as the F430

i think i like it because the standard 430/scud is so ugly
The 430 Scuderia is not that bad in the flesh. I think the problem is the stardard F430, it's not "classy" at all, very rude, so are its iteration. the 360 Modena was better (still I didn't like it as the F355), surely (imo) the 360 Challenge Stradale is best looking since the F355.

it's close, but the headlights on the 360 are rubbish imo. i think this adds a flair to the 430 scud that makes it forgiveable, as such.
