    Good movie...

I just saw Ronin. Now that is a good movie, if you like car chases... because you don't get much else! Features a few tasty vehicles, such as the Audi S8, and the mid-90's BMW M5. The only problem I had with it is that the chases are a bit unreal- who ever heard of a stock Peugeot 406 (not even the 3.0 V6 SVE) keeping up with an M5? And the Audi S8 that couldn't even catch a Citröen XM!

Nevertheless, it's enjoyable. I highly recommend it.

    Ronin was quite good...

Reno plays a very nice prequal to his role in the Professional.

don't like blockbuster either, crappy selection, crappy service, only have the movie for 3 1/2 days, well it's ok for a movie, but that's too short for a game, espically when family Video gives them for a week.

New Releases here are 5 days both movie and game.
If not new, then a week. It used to be old, 5 days, new 3 days.

    Good thing they changed it.

Ronin are masterless and therefore disgraced ninja, as explained in the movie. To play on the idea that modern day ronin, after quitting the services/agency had gone free agent, serving whatever master for a price. But they were all duped by De Niro. If you liked this have you seen HEAT?

Quality film. The ending isn't great, but hey - test screenings + Americans = rubbish endings.

I'd have had De Niro kill Pacino and get away with it, but bad guys can't win in American films.

I've only seen it as The Professional in the States.

YES!! absolutely what I wanted to see. I guess it would have been too much of a blow PC wise. Atleast Val Kilmer's character gets away.

    It was okay I guess.

I agree though, it's too bad that once in a while the bad guy can't win. Would keep things more suspenseful. And besides, sometimes the bad guy DOES win in real life.

Professional was Leon in the US.

As for HEAT... I would have cut everything right before the huge gun battle in LA.

Sure it was cool to watch, but it totaly ruined the movie.
