I'll take half Ultima GTR rather than one Aero though.
At least that thing is properly built and fast around corners too.
I'll call Top Gear to ask for a powelap of the Aero, and I'd bet it wouldn't be the faster car there either. I don't care about powerlaps, but I'm sure Go America does, as a 15.
And I refuse to say a car is a driver car just because it doesn't have ABS, ASR, ESP and power steering. Damn, I don't like autoboxes or fake sequentials, but I don't think they are what dooms the whole deal (even if I do strongly prefer manuals).
The Aero is just a car that reached a certain speed. It isn't a production car, so the record is pointless. Even considering (never) the record, that doesn't make it a better car then if it reached only 390 km/h.

This is the second time I've said this it wasn't stripped naked to do what it did the SSC comes stock with Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Tilt-Steering, Cab-Controlled Front Air Lift, Navigation System, 10-Speaker Premium Audio/CD/DVD System, 7.5" Video/DVD Screen, and Automatic Back-Up Camera. That makes it a fully loaded canoe if you ask me.
say what? show me where i said "the SSC is not a drivers car". i may have said it was unpopular, pathetic sales, hideously ugly etc etc but seriously dude.
those do sound like an awful lot of creature comforts to me.

You funny guy...
Look at the chassis, do you really think the bodywork brings safety?!
Pagani, Koenigsegg, Spyker and Bugatti, they are ALL HANDMADE, still they made almost 100 cars or more, depending on the brand.
Pagani, for instance, produces about 15 cars per year, completely handmade.
Bugatti builds about 50 Veyron per year, and so on.
Grow, up, now, and get a real life.

it's just a reference to the composite body, if i knew you were going to take it to heart i wouldn't have bothered
in other words "yanking your chain"
you might have gotten the impression none of us take this very seriously.
edit: actually a canoe would be better looking
