#3 I personally think the design has aged very well.

#4 Classic BMW straight-6 engines were the strong point of Z4.

#5 On the other hand, numb electrically assisted power steering and overly harsh ride were much criticized.

#6 Price wise, Z4 was marketed head-on against Porsche Boxster and Mercedes-Benz SLK

I think this was the best interpretation of the Bangle Butt styling era of BMWs.

The worst part about the Z4 though is that I feel like all of them came in gray, or silver I never see them in any other color. It's so boring.

I haven't quite warmed up to it yet, if I'm honest.

However, compared to the current BMW California, this is gold (although I prefer the hardtop).

Maybe it is because all the brochures and other promotional materials pictured Z4 only in silver? Or maybe it is because Z4 is a German car, therefore it must have staid color scheme?

While it is true that Z4 had 8 different shades of gray to choose from, there were also other, and pretty funky colors available.

I know the Z4 coupe came in a color similar to Laguna Seca Blue, but I haven't ever seen it in that color.

I think that's my favorite color from BMW.
