The only thing I don't like are stupid amount of applications some people have on their pages. A couple of my friend's pages actually slow my computer down as they load. Apart from that, I think it's quite good.

I really liked facebook about a year ago when the applications were just a concept because it was a pure communication tool. But now it is so much more dramatic with the top friends, wars between ninjas and pirates, etc. I get headaches every time I go on. Still I like being able to communicate with friends from elementary school who are in another state.

Facebook made organising big nights out and parties into a doddle. For that alone I think it's ace.

And yeah, anyone who has games or vampires or wtf ever on their facebook thing needs shooting.

    Good things about Facebook:

    - Most of my friends are in there so it's a good way to communicate.
    - Centralizes effectively mail, with photo and video sharing.
    - As Vtec said, it makes it easy to organize meetings.
    - It makes it easy to know where your friends are going or where they were.
    - No blind dating anymore!

    Bad things:

    - Now I can't post anything without 360 of my "closest friends" knowing about it. I'm thinking about opening an alternate account for my real close friends only.
    - Gossip, loss of privacy. Ditto.
    - Getting tagged randomly by ugly women. I guess it would be a good thing if I was getting tagged by hot ones, but that isn't happening...

    Random thoughts:
    - I hate those blinged/pimped facebook accounts (with just every application possible).
    - Getting into some famous people's accounts can be sort-a-fun.
    - I just suck at internet friendship... meaning not goog at making or mantaing e-friends.
    - Great tool for burning time.

So umm yeah, I guess FB is cool.

It's true that Facebook can be a legitimate and very helpful tool used in communication. One of my friends used Myspace to show her family and friends new pictures of her newborn baby. However the fact that many people use Facebook as a competition, and bragging rights is what annoys me. The LOL look how many friends I have, and the OMFG look at me I'm drinking underage, and look at this massive bong hit I just took pictures is why I don't use it.
Maybe that's more reflective of the friends you keep rather than the site itself.
I'm going to eat breakfast. And then I'm going to change the world.

I am increasingly convinced that ignorance is becoming a real blessing, this being a subject I never heard about before....(and yes, of course it comes with age)

    What is Facebook?

    I use Facebook.

    It's useful because:

    A) Keeps you in touch with old friends
    B) At least where I live, everyone has a profile
    C) Lets you organize events/etc easier than email

    It sucks because:

    A) There are too many annoying applications and profile "features"
    B) ^ This perpetuates idiocy ^

ok, so unless my english is really bad I think that the "loss of privacy" can be controled by the little button called "privacy" which is located both on the top and the bottom of every page.

and the getting tagged problem is due to the fact that you know ugly women, be thankful it could get worst and you might be taggedby ugly men.
