    Nissan S-Cargo

First picture, S-Cargo Masuo Ikeda G20

Debuting with the Pao at the 27th Tokyo Motor Show, the S-Cargo was launched in January of the following year, 1989. The playful yet practical style proved popular. As well as the standard roof, a canvas top was available. This vehicle’s paintwork was designed by Masuo Ikeda (1934-1997), a versatile artist whose talents stretched to sculpture and film direction.

Launched in January 1989 with the Pao, this model’s unique, chic styling - with its large body and squat nose - was key to its popularity. The spacious, table-type instrument panel sports a large speedometer in the center, while the AT selector is located in the upper part of the center console. The high roof (1,230mm) of the cargo space was also very popular.

The S-Cargo was exhibited with the Pao in the 1988 Tokyo Motor Show, where its playful yet practical design attracted much attention. After its launch in 1989 (together with the Pao), sales boomed and it was used in a wide variety of commercial applications. The high roof (1,230mm) of the cargo area was especially popular. In two years, a total of 8,000 units were produced.
