Ferr and Nic can disagree on the California, but the two reviews I've read including this one by evo have been overwhelmingly positive - calling it a class leader.

So Ferrer, it may be un-Ferrari or whatever you want to call it but it is also amazing.

    Suck a nut.

The Cayenne is fabulous off roader and it goes well on the road too.

The Alfa Romeo 8C is awful to drive and has a stupid gearbox.

You can pick the one you prefer...

lol, that stupid grinning front end doesn't do it any favours.
    what the hell:
    namely a torque-biased evolution of the F430’s 4.3-litre V8 ....
yes, it will certainly need the torque given it weighs more than a 575.
    ...with gasoline direct injection (GDI)
gasoline? was this designed in america?
    also: Global Defence Initiative, LOL

dunno about the first point, but you don't have to have driven it to know it has a stupid gearbox.

Yes, but the California is not an SUV, it is a GT thingy-foldy-roofie-fatty - and there is some enjoyment there, and when evo, a magazine noted for enthusiasts proclaims that the Caaifornia is good, and the California harkens back to Ferrari's olden GT's of yore, is it so bad? I was more hateful of this car earlier - it is still ugly, but after reading frankly glowing reviews in evo and Winding Road I think it may not be so bad.

Are you just too stubborn in your old age?

Ferrer likes to come across as a hardcore enthusiast. But deep inside he is far more liberal than he likes to admit...

Hardcore in what way? In tradition and lack of innovation? If you mean that, then yes, yes he is as any new advance in technology is clearly of the devil and any deviance from tradition is heresy.

note: production started about two weeks ago, just a few units per week, since the car itself, a lot of components and even the assembly line are new, they need to double-triple check everything.

No, I meant hardcore as he has a very black and white view of everything. Some cars or technologies are good (i.e driven by connoisseurs) and some are stupid, unexceptable, horrid (i.e. driven by twats).

He has nothing against innovation per se.

Nothing, but just in general I am talking about. Double clutch = heretical, CVT = heretical, electronic driving aids = heretical, changing engine configuration = heretical, etc.

Ferrer I hope you realize I'm just busting your balls, you know deep down that I secretly hate you even more than words could ever convey.

    EDIT:

Maybe, maybe not. If that tech interferes with tradition though, it has to go.

speaking of which, does this car have the option of a normal manual? it's just a cruiser so it shouldn't matter either way, but still.
