Being nice since 2007.
This is not a real Ferrari, I seen it years ago in Road and Track or Car and Driver...it's a 'what if' project as in what would the next GTO might have looked like.
I like the design and it looks to be very well finished, obviously a well thought out and funded project.
Gorgeous car...

i was also thinking that it wasnt a real one.i checked my books and there is no mentioning a 400i GTO.And they really mention everything ferrari made.Originally Posted by Dino Scuderia
My guess would be that it's some sort of GTO one-off built on a Ferrri 400i chassis...

Bingo! (not sure if its a one-off though)Originally Posted by nopassn
I'm positive it didn't come from Ferrari, you guys will just have to trust me until I can go through a couple boxes of magazines to find the article.
Here's the info I have.
Car is s/n #37647. A 400i auto was the donor car for this, although it's fitted with a 400 GT Maunal gearbox. It was designed by Chris Hampson (a freelance industrial designer) and Gary Major, and built by Brian Wingfield (DRL Engineering, Jaguar D-type replicas), and built for Anthony Bamford, it's first owner.
My other signature has a V12
...and it currently belongs to a dutch collector.Originally Posted by Pinin

That's about how I remembered it, been a long time since it was built....I think early 90's.Originally Posted by Pinin

The register plate is quite funny, presuming that the car does have a bit more power than 4 hp.
does anybody has information what donor was used and who's design it is? maybe even a chassis number.
