Mach 1 Motorsport s.r.l. launches a new single brand competition in the 2007 Romanian Rally Championship. Eight cities will host the ten stages of the competition, whose grand prize will consist of EUR 10,000. Numerous rally fans are expected to line up for the Dacia JOE Cup. The company Mach 1 Motorsport s.r.l. organizes the single brand competition called the Dacia JOE Cup.
This competition is an integral part of the 2007 Romanian Rally Championship organized by the Sports Automobile Romanian Federation, consisting of ten stages hosted by eight cities.
The vehicles participating in the Dacia JOE Cup are Dacia Logan 1.6 MPI, equipped exclusively with competition kits developed by Renault Sport Technologies.
As a specific product, dedicated to motor sports, the cup-destined Dacia Logan has similar values and features as the regular vehicles, namely:
- Accessibility. The vehicles lining up for the Dacia JOE Cup are devised so as to be accessible to the largest number of passionate drivers, given their low price and servicing costs.
- Simplicity. The underlying concept presupposes integrating the competition kit directly onto a production-based vehicle.
- Modernity. Developed and manufactured by Renault Sport Technologies, the kits incorporate Renault`s entire experience in the field, by providing state-of-the-art suspensions for tough competitions and quality safety equipment.
- Reliability. The cup-destined Dacia Logan has been thoroughly tested by Renault Sport Technologies, as experienced pilots contributed to validating the implemented solutions.
All these principles were also taken into account when opting for Michelin tires, the traditional partner of Renault Sport.
Participants to Dacia JOE Cup will have the following benefits:
- The possibility of purchasing the production-based vehicle at a special price, as Dacia manufactures a simplified version in terms of interior elements/comfort
- Regular spare parts available on-site at a special price
- Michelin tires available on-site at a special price
Aside from the chance to compete on an equal footing, competitors will also struggle to win the money offered for each stage, while the Grand Prize at the end of the season amounts to EUR 10,000.
Under the circumstances, Dacia JOE Cup will be a genuine "launching ramp" for young talents in Romanian motor racing.
The confirmed partners of this competition are: Nestlé Romania and Michelin Romania.
