Even if it did send you over .05, there is a big difference between legally intoxicated and straight up DRUNK.

My missus pointed out something interesting. The kids who buy alco pops typically have more disposable income then your average female uni student. Thus the kiddies can move on to the hard stuff and mix it where uni students will jsut fork out more for the drinks like (ruskis, black labels etc) which seems unfair.

Did anyone see the article about the Young Labour party room in canberra that was LITTERED with alcohol bottles? Clean up your own backyard before telling others how to run theirs Rudd.

I think there is confusion, imo, 4 drinks in 2 hours = binge, 4 in a night (say 4-6 hours) = not binge.

But its not! I can easily have 4 beers (proper beers not this middy crap) and be perfectly fine. An hour after id be right to drive home so why the big deal. Its just we can stamp people with a label "BINGE DRINKER" if they drink more then 2 beers in an hour. Which tbh, i do frequently.

as long as it's only labelling...i don't mind being labelled..when they try to move in and legislate it then there'll be hell to pay

Four drinks in two hours considered a binge is a joke though. Average time it takes someone to finish a beer is about 15 minutes when in a social setting, and that's still quite slow.

I've been labelled all my life many things.. And guess what, What they think about me matters none in the slightest.. So why should this worry anyone?.
Not like anyone is going to change a thing..

But with kids they don't want to mix there own, Girls don't want too also.. They want it in there hand there ready.. If they are taking jim bean bottles with 4 litres od coke it's ahrd to party with 2 bottles and a glass in the hand.

Smokers have been labelled for many years, Banned here and there.. Looked at funny i do myself i hate the smell of a smoke and the after smell of them is as bad if not worse..

I think drinkers have had it easy for many years, We still see alcohol sponsorships all over the world but tobacco no more...
I think Smokers got over it, Now anyone that likes a drink as regular as a smoke will also get over it.

I have been known to scull a couple of mouthfuls from a 2L then fill it up with bundy/beam/jack/whatever i had to hand.

4... a night... wow... even some of my soft friends who i often have to baby sit home after a night out can do 4 and still be "fine"... binge drinking is when you do 9 (or more, depending on how commited you are... or how stupid) in less than an hour... not that i have any experience in that at all....

looks like the government is trying to do somthing about it... they want to put a number on what could be called binge drinking and dont want to alarm people... however with a number that low i think it will encourage people to go out and use the term "binge drinking" more often simply because 4 is well easy to do... simply

4 wow lol... my nights out end only after 12-15 drinks and 6 pubs later... mind you i only do it about 3 times a year but still... 4 where has the aussie spirit gone?

to be fair, if you don't drink for weeks on end, then 4 drinks in an hour or so is definately a 'binge'; just not on the same scale as, say, a buck's night etc

oh yeah.... thats very very true however for the ppl who have a beer or 10 every night its really not... i would have a beer a night if i wasn't a poor uni student... in which case i have about a beer a week... makes a six pack last half a term works for me!

    i agree but yes
