    Lol caps.

The only thing that I'd be interested in is to mod my hard drive port so I can use an external I have floating around not those stupid over-priced microsoft ones.

The modded controllers r really what piss me off especially on call of duty. Idt modding the console helps people perform better in the games, so really they aren't stopping the cheaters

A simple fix to the issue of people wanting bigger hard drives than what Microsoft provides would simply be to allow hard drive manufacturer's to purchase a simple "MS approved signature" to put into their models.

This is the same sort of system a lot of Mac products use, and how Apple regulates who can make products/software for their systems. It would allow third party hardware to be very easily manufactured for the Xbox systems, while keeping it pretty strongly regulated. Prices go down, the legal gamers are happy, and MS keeps things under control. Winwinwin for all.

I was surprised at the number of people, 600 thousand - 1million users is quite a lot.

So how do they actual ban/blackmark a console?

Machine addresses, probably. Separate from IP addresses and the like, and permanent for a piece of hardware.

Ooh, yeah, I heard there were a lot of false positives.

I know what false positive means. My console was flashed to play DVD back-ups.

Oh, I see. It's just that I heard some people were busted for simple things like non-Microsoft replacements and some people were banned for seemingly no reason at all - they might've bought used consoles that were modded without their knowledge.
