Visca Catalunya!
Two CSLs at the HSR Winterfest this past weekend. The white car is from Australia, the black one Florida. Both were built from 3.0CS shells, not genuine CSL bodies. Most CSL racers were and are in fact not real CSLs.
The white car broke a halfshaft and got a quick replacement from Team Predator's 2000CS, which just completed La Carrera Panamerica finishing 38th!

Pic #5 is a scanned photo prior to the car having the bolt-on's added. It's a series 2, #49 of 57 made and one of only 4 to be factory painted that colour. I don't usually like green cars but i'd make an exception in this ones case.

That's the car that sold this past year at Monterey. Stunning. A lot of fiddling was done with it prior to auction, wonder why they replaced the original, very rare Mahle-BBS wheels with common Alpinas. It's also a strad-packet car, so normally would have a front bumper but the valance was changed to a lowlands type, and the rear bumper is a repop. The color helped get the $$$. Series 2 cars seem to get everyone excited but the perceived values compared to Porsche RS's is low. Final sale number was about $130K, a comparable RS is over $250K.

Great shots, CMC. Good reason to carry a camera at all times.
Interesting that the car was in Europe and restored there, then brought to the US for auction... and went back to Europe!
Lot of expenses hidden in that final number!

The green one above is the same color as my Dill was. Taiga is what it was called. It's a really deep and beautiful color in person.
I'm going to eat breakfast. And then I'm going to change the world.
