yeah he said there'll be no LP560-2, but i'm absolutely sure they put a '4' in LP560-4 not without a reason...

besides, this SV will have permanent AWD. and 680 bhp. SportVeloce were fairewell series for miura and diablo, and murcielago successor is due to come in 2009...

No 2-wheel drive car at all in the near future:

Q: Can we expect to see a 2-wheel drive version of either LP640 of this car [LP 560-4] any time ever in the future.
    A: [blah-blah] = No

So it should be rather called Superleggera than SV, becuse Miura SV and Diablo SV were RWD with limited slip diff and Murcie SV with AWD would be against traditions.

But it is not enough for "new world", I think...

Or maybe in this case we are lucky that Porsche decided not to show the car.

this car is going to look so ugly and boring, I'm scared...

Seriously, I think it could be a sportier version of the Murcielago, like the Gallardo Superleggera, but in this case, I don't see the point of saying "It’s not just a new Lamborghini. It’s a new world.", it would not be a new lamborghini either, but just a new version.
As Dydzi said, the Gallardo has exhausts in a different position, lateral and not central were there's the gearbox so I would exclude a "Reventoned" Gallardo, even if it could be a good and interesting idea, as an eveolution of Lamborghini's language.
There were rumors of a Laborghini new SUV, but then it came out that the mules were just those of the Cayenne GTS (seen a couple of it yesterday, nothing special).
IIRC the CEO also said the were going to stick to this line-up for the near future, but I'm not sure.

EDIT: I looked a little to Murcielago's and Gallardo's rear end...this seems a Gallardo, exhausts apart

As far as the Porsche, it's a 5 door hatch. And next month they will display their new minivan.

It's too bad really. The 928 was a fantastic car, why couldn't they just build another one of those? Of course the real shame is Porsche will have a 4 1/2 car line and only one car that's raced.

Sorry to turn this Lambo post into a Porsche rant.

And, for the record, I hope it's a new Espada.

It can't be a gallardo, because if you look at the Gallardo press shots, the gearbox sits too low and too further back. They can't squeeze the exhausts in the middle

Well, probably. But then again you don't want to kill your costumer base, do you?

Rappers don't care much about the SV nameplate. As long as the car will accommodate bling wheels, yo.

I really think that it's a new SUV. It makes sense to release a new LM002, because SUVs are all the rage of course now. But it seems way too late for that to happen now that everyone is hybrid/car crazy now.

But hey, better late than never.

Whatever happened to the Cayenne hybrid? I heard about it, and it just sort of disappeared.

All those sort of cars should come with a proper gearbox. Just to annoy them.

Well 50 Cent has a F40 and a F50... so I guess he knows how to drive stick. And they both have stock wheels too!

the CayHyb is headed for Geneve 2008 IIRC
if, but I don't think so, this car is an SUV, it doesn't matter if the time isn't right, the development of it started so much time ago they couldn't preview this moment, and waiting for the right moment to launch it could take even years, and eventually kill the project.
But imo this isn't an SUV or nothing different from a supercar
