    2009 in pictures

During the long, lonely and potentially boring evenings in Central Asia last month I had a good opportunity to sort out my shots for 2009. I made a selection of the shots I like (which also run as my screen saver) and although 2009 isn't over yet, I will start now with posting the results. No serious editing went into this effort. (resizing Irfanview and sharpening)
Most shots are from the CER/LMS races in Spa, Barcelona and the Nuerburgring, from the Modena Trackdays, the Goodwood Revival meeting and the Monterey Historics. Shots include cars but also people, which tend to be sometimes neglected. An occasional plane will pass by as well.
I have let Microsoft determine the random order of the shots, just as they appear during the screen saving.
Today we'll have the first 36. (And I am planning quite a lot)
    Enjoy.

#1: The 2008 Speedy Lola Aston Martin in Barcelona, running almost as fast as the later works cars during the LMS season. Although the Gulf colours ar2 nice, I think this livery is even better looking.
#2: The Byers Volvo a regular at the Monterey Historics
#3: The first appearance of the Pescorolo LMP1 Mk2, with new aero package in Barcelona
#4: The Porsche 911S 2.5 in the Corkscrew, owned and driven by Roy Walzer who has a nice fleet of historic racers
#5: The 2009 Speedy Lola LMP2 in Barcelona
#6: Jochen Mass in the Bamford Lancia D50 recreation, in the chicane at Goodwood. No harm done this year....
