300C Mesh Grill?

I went out to the city today, and saw a few 300c's. Half of them had mesh-style grills.
I know it isnt the stock grill, not even for the SRT8, so whats the deal?
I know also that it comes stock on the DUB Edition one...but its unlikely that I will ever see one of those I dont think, let alone 2 in a day?
Is it just a popular modification? I saw one sitting in a Chrysler dealer (next to a Caliber that looked uglier than I remembered from the pics).

I see tons of those too. I don't know what it is, but I think people are just desperate for that Bentley look.

The grille doesn't look that bad...but yes...they are trying to copy a Bentley :cough:

I think it could be because it's more aesthetically pleasing... look at the Jaguar XJ.

You're right, but I dont like Jaguars at all.
I am watching a DBR9 on Top Gear. It sounds hawt.
Anyway, there are enough on the road with the mesh to suggest they sell them like that.
But they dont?

I'm 98% sure that Chrysler recently put mesh grills, among other bling items on the options list (Chrysler saw how much $$ the 3rd parties were making and decided they wanted a peice of the action) - Everyone wants to pimp their 300C!!

Mesh Grills, 20" wheels, and two tone paint jobs. I see them all the time, and its actually nice to see a stock SRT8 now and then.

Some people just get too carried away, with the lambo doors and such. eh.
