My mate's father has a Jag XK convertible as a backup car right now because his Volvo XC90 broke down. Ridiculous levels of want right now. I'm not the biggest fan of the XK's looks, but you can't argue about the sound it produces .

Volvo is giving XK Jags as courtesy cars?
I need to buy a Volvo. And then a hammer.
Or something.

Since 2009, all Swedes recieve a complimentary Saab 9-5 upon purchase of a Saab 9-3.
Not exactly, but nearly...
The Volvo center nearby wanted to give him a Ford Focus Diesel, but he said that would have an important meeting with potential customers next morning to which he couldn't drive with an ordinary car. So the Volvo center called the main center of Thuringia and provided him with the biggest car they had .
Volvo has some good customer service, obviously.

In the fullness of time long-hood 911's are proving the adage that simplicity of line is often the most attractive.
Perfectly usable as well, a big plus.

And it was in excellent condition. Not sure about the color though.

Nothing particular, just another early version. Like other makes that have lasted a long time in the marketplace, appreciation has grown for the light and uncluttered originals. Longhoods are all pre-'74 cars. Hard to tell from the photo but the color looks like Champagnergelb, a standard color '64-66, but special order afterwards.

Yesterday I saw a Lancia Delta. It looked like new, it was in very good condition.

Ogled over some nice Porsches at the Zentrum in Zuffenhausen. The museums are all closed on Mondays unfortunately, and it was my last day in Germany, so I just went into the head dealership across the street.
One thing that caught my eye was the mileage on a yellow Carrera GT at 75,000 km. Good to see the previous owner got some enjoyment out of it I guess.
Apart from that, some guy up the street from my grandfather has a cherry red SLS AMG. Looks and sounds impressive.
edit: forgot to mention I also saw a white Porsche 356 and a grey colored 300SL Gullwing. They looked very genuine, and I have a hard time believing that their owners (two old men in felt jackets smoking pipes) are the type to drive replicas. I've got a picture I will upload soon.
