He came dancing across the water
With his galleons and guns
Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls
^^
He might as well join them all and either make a museum or bind them and attach wheels
My guitars earn me money, and I can't drive yet, so why would I shell out countless thousands on a car, then the petrol, then the insurance, new tyres, etc??Originally Posted by my porsche
For the price of a Citröen AX GT, insurance, and a full tankload of petrol, I can buy something that doesn't depreciate, never needs servicing, and can earn me shedloads of money (£240 for playing at a wedding.... £20 an hour for lessons... £50 a day for someone to rent it... get the picture?!)
Cars are not my problem, as I don't drive them yet. However, there's a nice Saxo belonging to a fella at work that he's planning to cut loose... I'm getting my eye in with it.
At such a tender age, you seem obsessed with money. The other day you questioned Pieter's priorities because of buying a car that was suposedly cheap compared to his camera, now you say "IWantAnAudiRS6" could buy a car if he spent less in guitars... Well, I'm not one of those who say money doesn't bring you happiness, but that's giving it a little too much importance, no?Originally Posted by my porsche
You are the Forbes Magazine of UCP.
Money can't buy you friends, but you do get a better class of enemy.
I wonder wether his behaviour is caused by stupidity or genuine rudeness.
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

Don't get me wrong, Colin and I get on well, but we don't all have the opportunity to buy 911's as our first cars, and our priorities are totally different (music).
Just... meh.
Colin's just a bit out of touch with reality when it comes to monetary issues.
My phone got stolen today
My luck doesn't get much better!
Does anyone want me to Egg Nog the Civic wreck?
eggnog your stolen phone!
I want proof dammit!
Audi humbles Porsche. A new dawn starts today.
Being nice since 2007.
Frankly the only thing i'd care about, Sam, is that my mother was Ok and that Barbie gets what she deserves.
Everything else is secondary, including the car. (Even IF it is being replaced with a Kalos (Laughs Evilly)
But that is of course just me......
If I desperately so wished, I could be saving bucketloads from my hideous job and be driving my own vehicle right now. but I've made a choice (like Sam) to focus on other things than material possessions. (Although, in Sam's case, it's a focus on his passion - I've yet to find one )
It's not a rip on you, Colin, for being fortunate. It's merely saying that priorities vary from person to person.

On a more serious not glad to hear your mum is ok, as IB4R says that'd be the most important for me. Cars are replaceable, mums aren't.
