    Lamborghini Miura SVJ

    Lamborghini Miura SVJ

The Miura Jota was a personal toy project of Development Driver Bob Wallace. The car was use to test new ideas that would eventually find their way into the production Miura SV's. Only one was built but the car was so powerful that special customers began to request their own versions after the original was eventually sold and destroyed in an accident. The SVJ's built by the factory were not exact copies of the Jota, though many had performance upgrades and carried many of the visual details of the Jota. Only 5 SVJ's were built during the production of the Miura and can rightly be called "factory SVJ's."

Here's some information on the car below, taken from the lamborghiniregistry.com.

    1971 LAMBORGHINI MIURA SVJ
    Chassis #4934
    Engine #30685
    Dec 1971

Rosso Granada/White to then HIH the Shah of Iran. Stored under armed guard with SV #4870 in Royal Palace in Teheran.

Seized by Iranian government and later sold into Dubai in 1995.

Auctioned by Brooks at their Geneva Auction in March 1997 and sold to actor Nicolas Cage for $490,000. Still owned by Nicolas Cage.

March 2000 - 4934 featured in Classic Cars magazine's Miura cover article. October 2000 - Filmed for BBC TV's Top Gear program, and driven extensively by Tiff Needell.

August 2003 - 4854 km on odometer and offered discreetly on the market by Cage for three years. Works SVJ completed in late 1971.

Jan 2004 - Now owned by a collector in London, England. The car showed approximately 4,800km at the time of the sale.

4394 has since received a thorough going over at the factory with attention being given to all the outstanding cosmetic issues. 4394's fit and finish now is as good as the day it left the factory when originally constructed. Mechanically the car was also put back into it's right and proper state of tune including the correct setup of the carbs..

October 2004 - Car photographed by current owner for the upcoming Lamborghini Buyer's Guide.
