Are you seriously suggesting that maybe, for a moment, one day, if you had just enough money, you would, just even briefly, consider, looking at, perhaps, buying an idiotically over priced German car that had to pillage from an historical name just to sell some stupid, overpowered and overengineered small-penised man's dream?

Obviously. But theirs has had the tip snipped.
True the McLaren was limited, but it wasn't solely about top speed. It actually did other things well. The Veyron is all about bragging rights to top speed and fancy engineering solutions instead of good engineering solutions. Price and waving rights, basically. For your millions of dollars they couldn't come up with another tire? Or a vehicle light enough that the tires could handle it? Even with all their fancy gizmos, this is their big achievement and thats only because it's not just a bucket of new paint.

It's an amazing bit of kit and so what if it's a bit showy...isn't that kind of the point of having the worlds fastest car?

Yes, but I also thought the point of having a veyron was to be understated, not screaming I'm a supercar, to be comfortable, stylish, well made, conservative (obviously as supercar go), and be the worlds fastest car as a byproduct. This prettyich spits in the face of what I believe the bugatti stands for.

Ah, I see what we're all arguing about here.
I think its the paint job that's pissing some people off. Now, I'm not necessarily speaking for the general society, but honestly I still don't think anyone but the purest gearheads and some hypebeast rappers and those in between (which I think is a small population) would know of Bugatti. Bugatti is still conservative, but all it takes is the bright orange paint job to let everyone know that they were in the Guiness Book of World Records, if anyone would care. The same argument can be applied to all supercars. At least Bugatti didn't paint the car all-orange...now that, IMO would be showy.

No, the new Bugatti is a as bad as Audi. Only with added name-affronting business.

I'm not sure that Bugatti was traditionally understated.. Some of the most prized Bugattis stand out in a crowd pretty well. That's by wonderful design and not stupid paint job though.
Life's too short to drive bad cars.
Not to be the dissenting voice...but since when are Bugatti's retiring wallflowers?
...like, ever?

With new Bugatti I wasn't refering to this particular model, but to VW-era Bugatti in general.

Would you like someone to call you a wahambulance Ferrer? Or do you need someone to call Whine-one-one so you can report what Ferdinand Piëch did to you that dark, cold night?
