just looking at the Ring Laptimes, it strikes me that sometimes faster laptimes are done with a lower average...obviously not everybody uses the same measurements or parts of the track are left out?

    Compare the START/FINISH LINES

    Nissan GTR
    YouTube - Nissan GT-R runs a 7:38 at Nurburgring

versus a proper lap from Sport Auto.
    YouTube - Nürburgring Nordschleife Record

Nissan timing started at the end of pit straight and finished at the beginning. Sport Auto timing started and finished at the beginning of pit straight.

How were the porshe 997 gt3 runs timed compared to the skyline times, jinst4
Were they like skyline or did they include the pit section as monaroCountry has been talking about On UCP and youtube

I think that they have made it dull to keep the price low by not adding better looking parts, but they could have made it look better even without raising the price. the grill makes it looks like the Lancer Evo X.

I disagree, I think the overall form is fine; it's in the details that the styling loses me a little. It's just a little gimmacky.

I think a few of those are "bridge to gantry times," which leave out a large portion of the main straight...

i'd assume drifters would just use the V35 thingy?
    I see.

By V35 you mean the Infiniti G35?

    Probably then.

Love it, a technological masterpiece as a Skyline should be.

Does Sport Auto do their run on Industry pool day or public day or track day? My guess is that for industry pool laps they do their timing that way because maybe they turn back right at the old pit exit, which means they don't go by their start timer at full tilt and have to do another lap around to get back, and they actually get out from the pit entrance so they they get up to speed before they start...

Its unfortunate that they couldn't at least make it as attractive as the R34. Now that was a hot car. This thing is ugly. Also, whats with not having a 6-speed manual? I admire that this car is so technologically advanced, but at the same time I despise the fact that cars are becoming so piled full with new innovations, that just adds to the list of things that can go wrong. I bet within about 10 years these cars will be high on the list of "make sure you buy one thats been religiously maintained," for fear of all the tech bills to potentially come. Even brand new, it scares me.
