    Good FPS PC LAN games?

    Hey all,

I have a bunch of mates who i have a LAN games night with once a month at each others places. We try to play a new LAN game every month but there isnt a lot out atm that i know of thats very good.

Now to clarify we dont just play anything. We like FPS and the very occaisional (spelling?) RPG.

    Recently we've played

    Company of Heroes
    Call of Duty 2
    Battlefield 2
    Battlefield 2142
    Total War: Medieval 2
    Day of Defeat
    Titan Quest

Does anyone have any good new games that they enjoy? Playing the same old every month is good as it keeps you sharp but i like to mix it up a bit.

doom 2 FTW! so many memories.........

i find that rainbow six: ravenshield is a good lan game as its got co-op, and can get quite hard if you put the oppts on hardest.(my friends and I play this @ every lan we have), we also play ut04, the ocasional aoeIII, f.e.a.r, freelancer used to be a good lan game.

co-op games are usually good for lannin and so are fps games.

    Seriously.

For anyone who wants to check it out:
    http://legacy.newdoom.com/downloads.php

It has a new 3D engine, higher res graphics, freelook, jumping, etc, etc. Just like a modern shooter but with all of the oldschool action

You need to go find the doom2.wad file somewhere. I actually own Doom 2, but it couldn't be that hard to find the file.

You should get Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. It just kick ass and the graphics are pretty good for such an old game.

F.E.A.R. Combat, its pace is very fast, and for your occasional RPG gaming, you can get a multiplayer mod for Oblivion.

We had great fun with Quake 4, Far Cry (Surf map) and also Age of Empires 2.

Soldier of Fortune 2 can also be enjoyable.
