So is that the true story? I still think the Americans payed us off and took the "missing one" back to Area 51

That's what I saw on The History Channel, but then the link provided by Matra has a seemingly true story as well so now I'm confused.

My personal favourite is the F15. It gets to mach 2.5 topspeed, can take off vertical as soon as its loose from the ground.
The mig 29 is overrated, sukhois are much cooler.

This weekend there's a huge airshow in the Netherlands of the airforce here.
The best stuntteams in the world will be there (yes even the blue angels).
Anyway I hope there will be some more russian planes this time.
I have only seen mig 29s mig 23 or 27 (dont know those very well) and an SU 25 And just about every plane the western nations use.

And for those who like F16s, those will still be in use for a very long time by various countries (we will put them away as soon as the JSF is finished).

    I love the United States.

I love even more that when they're done with a plane they sell it to some other contry as long as they have better ones.

My favorite is the F-22 Raptor. It can be a steath, and air to ground. It's also taking place of the Harrier that the Marines use. Might not be the best plane out there, but it's my favorite. I think it looks sexy. It can go from steath to being able to carry bombs on the wings in minutes. It can cruise at + mach speed without using its after burners.

I'll try to fix a digital cam (dont have one myself) and make some pics if I can get my hands on one.

    Izzat so!?

Last I check the F-35 is a completely different airframe than the F-22. 1 vs 2 engines, and a whole different body. I don't think that it's possible to mod the Raptor into the JSF.

Edit: Here are two threads from right here in UCP

Ah the F-22...That is one nice looking plane IMO. It is a much more graceful stealth plane than the edgy F-117. I've seen a F-22 in person at the Dayton air museum and it was good.
