New Zealand still has an airforce? i thought they said they were going to disband it or something, or at least get rid of the A4 skyhawks

yeah, Canada seems to have a pretty similar equipment to Australia, minus the F-111's crashing everywhere though.

They disbanded the Skyhawks in 1999 as I said, but no way was or has the airforce been disbanded, still running strong, doing what I'm not too sure. And when they got rid of the skyhawks (or tried to, half of them never got sold) the Government also pulled out of a pre-planned arrangement buying 28 F-16 fighters.
Miscommunication seems to be a direct result of misplaced, text based sarcasm.

A Spitfire (at the rear) and a Hurricane (in the front)

    English Electric (BAC) Lightning

Blackburn/ Hawker-Siddeley Buccaneer (my personal favourite, with my personal favourite livery)

    Panavia Tornado (GR4)

    and finally...

    Eurofighter Typhoon (DA5)

A short (and very incomplete) history of British issue aircraft.

    Imakuni, you forgot the Harrier

The portuguese "air force" (Força Aerea Portuguesa - FAP) uses Ex USAF F16s, yeap, we bought used as in "ready to the graveyard" fighter jets, we had Convairs also before the F16s.

We use EH-101 helicopters, we really give hem good use, half of them are being canibalized for parts.

    Also the good old C-130.

All hail the glory of the Portuguese Army... a bunch of fat old man living of my money...

The ekranoplans (ground effect crafts) really aren't airplanes, but whatevs.

I don't have pictures on me, but here's a nice list.

    Dassault Mirage 4
    F-14 Tomcat (of course )
    B-52
    B-1 Lancer
    F-4 Phantom
    Mig-31
Mig-35 (if it even exists...? It was in Ace Combat 5 )
    F-35 Joint Strike Fighter
F-22 Raptor (for obvious reasons, screw the Typhoon )

And can't think of any others, but there's more.

All I can say is, the Russian fighters are probably cheaper and in good hands it can probably kick some serious ass. The only thing it probably doesn't have is the stealth and long range missiles.

I dont even know what the Australian Airforce is doing. we HAD F22's on order, then we didnt.. then we had JSF's on order.. then we didnt..

All i know is that the airbase near me (Richmond RAAF) has alot of hurcs, and usually houses the four C-5's we just bought from the US.

whiteballz, we've ordered F-35 JSF but our analysts wanted F-22s because they could fill the F-111 role better. However the Americans are reluctant to sell them outside of the USAF(that also means none for Canada). As a side note, the USAF would like us to purchase some since it would keep the production lines open, giving them the chance to purchase planes later plus it would bring the unit cost down. In short, the stumbling block is Congress.
Also, we bought C-17s(not C-5s) so that we could move our new M1A1 Abrams tanks about.

CH-53. the biggest and baddest helicopter in the US miltary. The only helo capable of picking itself up (i.e. its payload is greater than its weight).Worked with them numerous times, and love them all.

and the SH-60B, the other one I have worked with extensively. a great bird that is very capable at finding subs.
