    Alpen a/d Rijn - A very expensive bed is the newest goal for refined thiefs. In the night from Sunday to Monday the bed, valued at € 51.000, got stolen. Only 24 hours a similar bed got stolen in Apeldoorn.

    According to the police it's a same case that occurred around a month ago in Eindhoven. "There seems to be a real hunt for the bed", a spokesman of the company stated. According to him, it is the world's most expensive bed. "There are only six of them in the Netherlands, and half of them are now stolen." The thief's probably keep the bed for own use. "You can't put this thing on Markplaats (Dutch e-Bay), it's too eye-catching."

    The bed made with only natural materials and is the topmodel of the company. People who have tried the bed have described it as being a 'unique experience'. Various people should already have shown there interest for the very expensive bed.

    I heard about the theft in Eindhoven and it made me laugh. Pretty smart if you ask me

    Isn't a mattress and a bed the same thing?

    Getting back on topic, if there are so few of these beds around how can you test the bed first before you buy it? You're trusting the manufacturer that you'll definitely like it?

    Maybe they stole the bed to finally spend good nights sleeping on their two ears...

    Wouldn't you have to steal the bed during the day or it'd be in use...? Besides stealing a bed can't be easy in the first place, they're pretty bulky, the mattress, the box spring, the frame, the headboard.

    bed = what you put the mattress on
    mattress = what you actually sleep on

    I did actually laugh at that, good one!

    I personally think that no bed is worth that much money. The owner's fault for not sleeping in a vault...

    (Person sleeps on mattress)
    Mattress = Bed (e.g "That's his bed.")

    (Person sleeps on sofa)
    Sofa = Bed (e.g "That's his bed.")
