    Alfa 75 2.0

    Yep..
I found out that it would be fun to have a winter-car with rear wheel drive and a LSD.. So i came across this not so beautiful Alfa 75 from 1985. The previous owner had her for 11 years, and has taken good care of her.
The engine is a 2 liter Nord engine, with 45mm Delorto carburettors.
She has been on the road for 236.000 km's, but the engine has been out and overhauld hand tuned a bit. It has been dynoed to about 160 hp. And this trans-axle car has a five speed gearbox and fortunately the previous owner hooked it up with a LSD.
The suspension and other chassis components like bushes and torsion-bars are upgraded not to long ago, so the car is really easy to steer and of course over-steer.

She has been hit in the rear quite a bit, so the whole rear is a bit bent up. Not visible on pictures, but the rear doors is a bit tight, though functional. Haven't decided yet if I will pull it straight..
The rust is not visible in critical places, though a bit of superficial rust underneath the car, on the bottom of the doors and all the other usual places.. Front seat is a bit worn, not so strange after 236.000 km's.
In good Alfa tradition, all lights in the dashboard are blinking, all the time. Italian cars are so fun!

EDIT: Yeah, I know, the rear muffler ain't very nice.. more rice..

Fantastic choice. I love it. Congratulations

Oh and don't worry about the blinking lights. It's Alfa Romeo's way of wishing you a merry christmas. Probably.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.

Gotta love the seat cover. Is it to make the fur easier to clean?
Now all you need (and can't be bought) is the skills to drive it on snow.
You suck, but the car should be fun.
I think you were inspired by the wet bus station back in July.
Money can't buy you friends, but you do get a better class of enemy.

You probably already know how much I like to have fun with cars during winter, and your new car is much approved. RWD + LSD = epic win. Congrats on the new ride Fred.

EDIT: Gotta love the blinking lights!

You know you have a standing invitation to come and drive it on a closed snowy track..

And on that bus-station, you scared the living daylight out of me..
    So much for inspiration.

Thank god at least someone has some common sense here. Quite apparently 20+ years old shoebox is a far more sensible choice for wintertime transport than a modern diesel engined car favoured by Henk4's clan.

Seriously cool car. Hopefully the muffler will rust through faster than rest of the car...

    Of course!
The car was sold as a parts car, but me and a friend found out that it was to good to be parted. So it will at least live to see the summer.
Then it has to match the EU demands again, don't know if it will pass easily.

And the muffler, I may help it off with the grinder if the rust don't take it

Nice pickup. I do love the ebrake with a handle that came off an electric chair switch.
