Wouter in the FXX Evo article you say the Evo decreases shift times 20 ms to 60 ms yet earlier you say the FXX's shift times are 100 ms.

But between a flappy paddle auto (SLR) and a flappy paddle manual (FXX) I can't quite see the difference in terms of fun...

no way, that goes to Bleedinghearth and his alterego Janinesilva or whatever the name was. Mr supercar tried to get a nomination too, but shortly run out of ideas. perhaps he didn0t have a gf identity to steal.

Most models up to the E-class are available with a manual in Europe.
you're right, i just checked and the A and C class comes with manual. i know some of the smart cars too if they count. i guess in the big saloons it doesn't matter so much.

the smart cars have fake-autoboxes, no manual IIRC

They have automated manuals. Like Alfa Romeo's Selespeed.

the FXX can't because of adjustable aero, engine size and probably a dozen other reasons. The SLR has a supercharger and adjustable aero bits as well, there would need to be significant changes to both to allow them into FIA GT, not to mention the FXX isn't homologated as a road car. The next best thing is the MC12
