Would this thing have to "refuel"?
I did a quick calculation, and 200kW with 60kWh in the battery means, disregarding the massively inefficient photovoltaic unit, this thing can run for 18 minutes on a charge at full power, yes?
I guess that solar panel and regenerative braking might help a little, but nontheless, seems not too well thought out.
I do like some of the styling cues, though and it might greatly help the technology.
If it were to be refueled, they would need a rather quick delivery system.
I remember an article about how the Audis at Le Mans were eerily quiet...
EDIT: Approx. how long is a fuel stint for one of the diesels at La Sarthe?

"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
Paint it black and it could be the next Batmobile.

that car sucks!.
It looks like the Mazda Furai project!, and hopefully no Le Mans car will ever look like that!
Clearly influenced by the plethora of add-on winglets F1 had last year.
Removing those leaves behind quite a nice look imho
An engine ( petrol, diesel or electric ) isn't at 100% usage all the time, so there is a little more leaway on the duration calculation. Also, the massicve torque of electric motor woudl give phenomenal acceleration so perhaps it is used 100% to lap everyone multiple times OR used at lower rate for endurance. Still nowhere near petrol efficiency imho ... YET ...
Re refueling, I'd love to see it and for it to influence street vehicles ....
Rather than recharing by supplying electricity, why not "recharge" by swapping in a single unit, large capacity module full charged by taking OUT the near empty one. So "refuling" in pits and at garages in future woudl involve driving up and leaving a large"box" and picking up a fully charged "box".
Would love to see a team try it for 24h but reckon they HAVE to have their own class and not have them try to limit it to equivalence of other fuels.
Electric? Endurace? Same sentence? These people clearly havn't been informed about the flaws of electric cars.
Buying a car and not driving it is like buying a meal and not eating it.
"Oh sh*t, we're going..25!!" - A dear friend of mine.
It does look amazing in my opinion, allthoughht it's quite clear that it's not for everyone.
The mileage might be an issue, but i'm sure they figure out a way to even it out.
this car is ugly, it indeed looks like the badmobile.. and i hope that le mans cars never, never will look like this!!
