Holden Monaro GTS Coupe .. for real??

A friend of mine sent me this picture of a coupe version of the new Holden VE Commodore GTS , all i know is that there isn't any news about a new monaro not from Holden-Australia or Chevrolet-America (since we in the Middle East have chevrolets instead of holdens)
so, my question is: if this picture for real? or a chop? and any news about a new monaro for the year '08 ?

I'm not sure if it's a chop or not, but it looks like the spoiler doesn't belong.

    It might be a chop.

Chop. The doors on a Monaro would be longer to allow for better rear access, and there's far too many shutlines around the rear window. The spoiler is real though.

Nota proved it wrong, but I guess I can add that the rims give it away as a chop immediately.

well as we have all worked out... yes it is a chop... a very good one at that however... the "monaro" does get bigger doors for better access along with a lower roof (like the real monaro) but if you flick between the 2 pictures (2 door and the 4 door) you can see small bits and pieces that give it away alot... for eg. the brickwork on the house above the roofline and the mirror...

as said before... wouldnt be disapointed if one was made

No doubt holden made the Monaro and made the Camaro after it. I'm sure it would be a easy change over if allowed.

Oh man, this thread really got my hopes up. I'd love to see another Monaro.
