Exactly what I was wondering. And it's a proper AMG car.

Of the modern ones I'd have the CLS63. Pace and grace. Altough I'd personally prefer the CLS55.

Henk, Ferrer, you kids are way over my little 2cc head. I'm just a damn bird, after all, and not a particularly clever one at that.

Still, I see none of the modern AMG cars as worth voting for. As we 'Quails get old we get that rosy tint big time, especially if we think that the 107-chassis SL was the best ever. All us 'Quails are clearly a little ****ed up for buying into that old Johnny Carson Bullshit, but we'll be fed nothing else.

I've made that joke numerous times.

    It's a funny one, nonetheless.

'Quail is mostly E-134 Ethanol fuelled.

He's drunk most of the time, for you noobz.

If you've got such a stressful job you'd do tha same

And this is no bullshit whatsoever, and i'll give anyone who asks e-mail addresses to prove the same:

your own LandQuail is the northcentralArkansas Lick-Swapping champion.

Lick-swapping is a grand old sport that dates back ages. It involves hitting the other guy as hard as you can in the shoulder and bearing the same treatment back.

'Quail, thought he's the scrawniest, baldest guy in his current or his home region, is UNDEFEATED.

And I'll Take On All Challengers!

I've done it again. disregard the above, and direct any legitimate car questions to Henk4 to to me. Shit. Squawk.

That was such an embarassing post I won't even address it, as there seem to be a horde of Star Wars geeks under me to add emphasis to whatever I say.

This is far from a moment of clarity, Henk, but I will say in response to "are you now talking about your own posts?," which is a very legitimate question, "well, I thought so."

It's been a downward spiral for this old tired 'Quail in the last few months. Small-town journalism's hard, even if your small town has a newspaper circulation of 25,000 or so.

It weighs on a man to put in long hours at the grindstone of local public opinion.

Today (yesterday), for instance, yours truly brought one man well and safely above the millstone of the press, while I ran another well and truly under it.

I did my part to save one career, and the one I worked to save was that of the Arkansas House of Representatives Speaker of the House, Robbie Wills, arguably now the most important politician in Arkansas. He's being raked over the coals for buying a packet of Christmas fudge for all his colleagues.

The one I ran under the wheels was some asshole Sheriff's Deputy named Brents who pulled out his AR-15 Assault Rifle at a university party where he was providing off-the-clock security.

read all about it at TheCabin.net ·· Log Cabin Democrat of Conway, Arkansas

It's hard being the one to find the pivot by which a man's fate hangs. I've definitely ruined one man, who probably deserved it, and maybe saved another who probably didn't.

When I come home from such a hard day's writing I tend to drink, as do many writers.

When it's the worst you find me as I am now, drunk and responding to threats in posts real and imagined and struggling to figure out where I might have gone badly wrong in my day's assessment of my subject matter.

And you all think the ceiling spins when you've drank too much....

I just want to talk cars, for the most part, and enter a world in which I'm more comfortable.

So, all previous nonsense posts aside, I'm voting two write-ins on this one: the 500E and the Zonda-engined R129 SL.

    All apologies

all very well, but I suggest you want to open a thread in the miscellaneous section, may be titled: The Quail's Daily Worries"
Better than to hijack one that is meant for discussing AMG powered Mitsubishis....
