Oh but it does to drakkie, and he is the master of all things photography.
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

All the emotion captured on SPHFerrari's pic is just amazing, especially the scared little boy, holding on tight. That's a once in a lifetime shot.

laxplayer98, the answer is obvious: No
If you think it's necessary, i'll send the original RAW file to Wouter.
Don't get me wrong, but only a person who knows nothing about photography, would think this was some kind of digital manipulation.
The only "secret" behind that "magic" is correct exposure (manual mode) to avoid over-exposure (i don't know if this is the correct word, in english).
Something like -2EV, comparing to the light measured by photometer. And of course, a good composition and background (with no lights).
By the way, honestly, i don't think the photo is that good. I like the result, but it's just an ordinary photo.

P.S. - It's not my intention to be arrogant, i'm just a little tired beeing acused of cheating.

You really should've left your response as the original "No I did Not."

Sorry man I didnt mean to be rude, but Ive never seen anything like your photo that wasnt in some way edited. Your photography has IMO always been amazing from what Ive seen you enter in these comps and I understnad where you come from with being accused of cheating in these comps as I myself have been the object of critism on some occasions. Amazing picture, keep up the good work.

Why would you have thought it was edited anyway? I look at that and don't think it's been edited, I look at it and go, wow, he knows to underexposure for strong red light, hardly anybody knows to do that except for people who shoot gigs

On my monitor the effects of the explosion look surreal, to me atleast.
