Reminds me of the Suzuki Alto Works I've been championing for some time...Except the Citroen is slower and more expensive

I think an argument could be made for my ride. Although I won't make it because the ride is not smooth enough and it does not handle quite as well as I wish it could. But what about the VW IV R32. Tossable, good handling, great looking. Or I would nominate the MK V VW GTI, 4 doors, good fun little car.

From personal experience, how about a Mk1 Saxo VTS?

It does not necessarily have to be more expensive and is pretty much similar or slightly superior in almost any aspect.

It would be nice to see Mr. May's arguing regarding vehicles that he's been challenged with.

neh, the AX GT is much better than a Saxo. We had a 1.1 once which drove like mad and so were the drivers.....

I'm surprised a Model T or Bug or other widescale people's car hasn't been mentioned.

Together with the Lada in all its versions, which far less deviate from each other than the Corolla, which went from RWD to FWD and was stilled named the same....

    Here's a list.

That Model T sold a crazy amount especially considering the time.

I can't attest to this list's accuracy however.

and it ignores the first ten years of Lada production.

I've never driven the ones with smaller engines, but I'm sure there can be problems. Especially in the Nordic winters 80's and 90's French cars can be very unreliable, although I'm not sure if that was what you were suggesting.

But although an interesting idea, in the end it is silly as he could've mentioned pretty much any car and "won" any comparison with the same argument and unfortunately he's not here to argue.
