    nope..
ive made him reserch what engines we can use for our car...

here is a preliminary image of the car, it WAS an e55 amg.

the front grille lights etc are unchanged because i dont know how we want the style yet.

mustang said the back looked abit like a vette, so expect some changes in the ass of the car.

k well i dont want it in silver for starters.

looking into engines is harder then one would think
we need something commonly available (nothing exotic which rules out merc and BMW etc)
something with good contant torque and power (no rotaries or 4 cyl)
    so we're lookin at either a super/turbo 6 or V8.

checking out the BOSS, F6, and LS1 or LS2 would seem to be the way to go as we really cant develop out own engine.

    Specs
    Engine: LS2 V8
    Displacement: 5970 cc / 364.3 cu in
    Power: 335 kw / 449.2 bhp @ 6200 rpm
    Torque: 605 nm / 446.2 ft lbs @ 4800 rpm

    Engine: Turbo-charged 4.0-litre in-line six-cylinder with dual overhead camshafts
    Power: 270kW at 5000 revs
    Torque: 550Nm from 2000-4250 revs

    Engine: BOSS 290
    Power: 290KW at 5500rpm
    Torque: 520Nm@4500 rpm

    Engine: LS1 V8
    Power: 285KW (on the GTS)
Torque: 465 Nm @ 4000 rpm (on the monaro)

    So we have a dillemma
i need a budget to work within sam. if we have no budget then the LS2 all the way but i rekin LS1 if we have to be stingy and the F6 if we have limited room...

hmm, maybe the engine from that beasty skyling i posted about 360 kph top what on the speedo...

lol.. its a Twin snail 6 i think... it is a six, but i cant remember..

whos the guy in charge of the money mate? i aint! lol... we have minimal cash, so just work with that in mind, like try to do it back yard garage, i am guna work for free, so theres some more money to play with.

because we only need to produce low numbers, and really only one car to demonstrate. (nb DEMON) :winks: i think we can be a little bit freer with the cash then if we wanted to produce some serious numbers (as in production)

mabye we can be the street version of joss! lol. steal some of his cash lol...

figure around $500,000 thou. my business teacher said that banks will lend out half a mill if they think the company will be able to pay it off. which if they know our product they will want to bank roll us! "wana be our sponsor?" lol!

If you guys ARENT working to a budget, my reccomendation would be for a modular family of engines with 4 variants: V6 with short stroke and wide bore, bigger version with bigger stroke and 2 V8's based on the original 2 engines cylinder dimensions

But if you ARE going on a budget, you cant go past an LS1, screw the LS2. LS1 with LS6 intake and heads will be just as good as LS2 and thats with 300cc less, so you can always stroke it to get more.

OK so lets say we're on a cheapskate budget... LS1 it is then. now do i buy a new one from holden or do we pinch on out of a wrecked (rear end write off say) one.
