Ah, Carbon. I rented it a couple days ago and am quite enjoying it. I'm in the last part of career mode, going with exotics exclusively up to this point. I got quite far with the Alfa Brera alone but it sucks for drifting. I've got a Cayman S, Mazda RX-7, and a Lotus Elise thats tweaked to the nines. It sucks that you can only get so many cars in career, apparently most of the cars can only be used in quick race mode. F that, I say.

The town is much more interesting to race in than in MW, and the gameplay and physics feel somewhat improved. Also, the canyon races are fantastic, although I'm stuck on the one against the Lamborghini Murcielago, It's a tough one and my poor Elise either gets bullied off the road, or I keep hitting the walls trying to keep up with it. So, I'm just going to save up a bunch of money and get a Carrera GT

yeah have to agree that wasn't easy; after winning it i bought that lambo and i have to say i was shocked it handles so poor... but anyway i tuned it to the max and now it's unbeatable

one thing i can complain about the city plan is that it should have some beltway around the city

The hardest part of the game is how the heat level increases so much. In one pursuit I get to heat level 4 or 5. And it is so much harder to get away from the cops in this game, specifically the Interceptors. This game is quite a bit easier in racing than in MW, though. The Canyon duels are simple if you just use a fast car. My Viper and my Corvette just zoom ahead in the first 3 or 4 seconds then all I need to do is stay in control for another 10 seconds for the win.

Oh for beating the Murcie, my advice is to get a Muscle car, it gets in front of the Murcie in about 6 seconds, then just stay in control, which is the hard part. I used a Viper with a few upgrades in Preformance.

I picked up a copy of the Special Edition for PS2 today when I got my paycheck. Got home, been playing it since. It's fun. I started with a RX8. Turbo RX's are fun.
