Over the last 18 months, McLaren Special Operations have meticulously restored this F1 GTR Longtail. It was delivered new to the GTC Competition team, who raced it in the FIA GT Championship and at Le Mans during the first half of 1997. It was then returned to McLaren and eventually sold on to Japan. Here it was extensively raced and eventually became the last F1 to race in a contemporary event. Chassis 25R finally came out of Japan in 2016 and has since been restored for its new owner. Along the way, it has also become the first McLaren F1 to be officially certified.
Over the weekend, Lamborghini Squadra Corse revealed the new Huracan GT3 Evo racer. As the name suggests, it is an evolution of the existing GT3 car. The Italian engineers have looked at almost every aspect of the car, which features revised suspension and power steering, and a refined aerodynamics packaged developed together with Dallara. Available as a complete car or as an upgrade package, the Huracan GT3 Evo is set to make its debut at the Daytona 24 Hours in January.
Hot on the heels of the launch of the Coupe version, BMW have revealed a first glimpse of the 8-Series Cabriolet. It is pictured in camouflage and no further details were revealed but expect the first model to hit the market to be powered by the 530hp V8 of the M850i.
