2014 United States Grand Prix (Oct 31 - Nov 2)

It looks like next week's United States Grand Prix will have just 18 entries as both Caterham and Marussia have hit dire straights.

Yes they have apparently both missed the plane that takes the cars across the pond.

While Formula 1 is facing the biggest crisis in years, the situation on the track remains unchanged with the two Mercedes in class of their own during qualifying for the United States Grand. 18 cars have qualified for the race but talk of a boycott from the smaller teams continue.

That was very entertaining. A great track design can do wonders for the sport.

It's gotta be disheartening for the rest of the field to see with 2 races left Mercedes still has a huge gap on them...

It's happened quite a lot in the sport though. It does suck for everyone else though.

I attended. The race was very good from an F1 standpoint but from an entertainment standpoint, the Porsche Supercup race was head and shoulders above all else. I was in the esses so all of the passing I saw in the Grand Prix was on the broadcast screen across the track from me.

I was really disappointed with the atmosphere though. It was very dull leading up to the race and the excitement when the race started seemed kind of fake. Like finally, we've sat out here all day, let's get it over with excitement. I really would love to go to another F1 race again because the cars are just mind boggling fast but it's definitely got to be in Europe where the fans are actually passionate about the sport and real parties are to be had
