Thanks, Damiano!
Although the original proof of concept , those tech specs you posted, are very specific all this press release confirms are the dimensions and turning circle. Hardly the affirmation that I was looking for that Murray had successfully created a car like the one he wanted to create. However, I am still hoping it does live up.

The side mirrors seem to have been placed too much in the middle of the cockpit. I would think that, especially for shorter drivers that would block a chunk of their field of view. It seems like moving them to the top or the the bottom of the A pillar would be smarter.

Fulgy, slow car, but interesting engineering.

I get the rationale behind it - indeed the logic is good.

But Gullwing doors? This is most definately going to remain a niche product.

That's not a gullwing door. That looks like a canopy of a jet fighter. I'm not sure what sort of door that is. I don't think that even counts as a door.

Whatever it is it creates an entirely impractical and unsafe entry sequence.

I mean, how are you meant to open that in a low-rise car park? unless it's as low as an MX-5...

How many car parks can't fit the 4WD type vehicles? The 'door' can't be that much higher than them.

575kgs is what impresses me.

Maybe, but I see a bigger problem with rollovers, if you can manage to roll it over, how do you even open the door?

The car doesn't look that tall, but on the other hand, I see rain as the main issue.

I can suppose it could work as with the Mercedes SLS, the joints are disconnected with pyrotechnic mechanisms (is it English?) and then the door, or canopy in this case, just slides forwards or laterally.

I'm very impressed with the packaging, and the lightweight attitude that means the project comes in at a very reasonable kerb weight.

I'm incredibly sceptical about the physical design itself. That roof/door hybrid asks more questions than it will ever answer - and causes more headaches. It's like taking the ideas of a McLaren F1 and miniaturising and neutering it. Strange.

An excellent point.

I think the other problem is that I can't imagine women liking this design, and in that market you have to expect that women are at least 50% of your customers.

a version with a large sunroof could be an option for those who plan to roll the car....

I'm not the least bit impressed with it and I don't want to live in a world or situation where it's necessary.

Furthermore thinking about the time, resources and talent wasted on it is nauseating.
