I really like this car. You get a lot for your money. Top gear did a road test on it and the Toyota FT-86, they said it was great. The one thing it needed was more power, maybe a turbo because the car could handle it without a doubt. I would rather have the Toyota’s FT-86 because even though it’s the same car I think it looks a bit better.

I really like this car, but I'd prefer the Subaru badge

This car has grown on me. I've never really understood why people think the AE86 is so great; I've always assumed it was just herd-mentality fanboys turning a fairly-vanilla car into a deity, so I wasn't all that impressed when they announced they were building a new one. However, seeing the stats on this makes me feel all tingly, because it's the Miata coupe that never was, stays revvy and naturally-aspirated, is light, compact, and cheapish.

What a great car. For some reason I prefer the Toyota but they both have great performance and I would like to see a more powerful version for both.

I do too- I know that the Toyota 800 has a boxer 2, but the boxer 4 is now synonymous with the Subaru brand.

I welcome both though.

Here in the US it'll be a Scion, which has a bit of a stigma.
Road & Track claimed thay would have a comparo, but unfortunately only printed separate articles that had already been on the web.

It's supposed to be very affordable, even in Australia. I think, for conversion rates, it's about half a 370Z.

More than the car, I like what it means for the industry if it succeeds. Even if it doesn't, if a couple more manufacturers try to compete with sports cars, it'll be fantastic. Currently if you don't want a 370Z, you're forced to step up to something German and expensive.

Like you said, it's expensive and it's also not very practical.

Nissan really needs to make a Silvia to go up against the BRZ, it could easily slot under the 370Z.

I really really have the hots for this car.

If it's still around when I save up for it, I'm definitely buying one of these.

I even resprayed the free Toyota GT-86 in Gran Turismo in rally blue mica and gave it gold wheels.

Right the FR-S. I heard they already released a drift version of the FR-S
