    AE86 Owners Unite!

Hey, I'm new here... I have a 1984 AE86 and I am really exited about meeting people who own these machines. If any of you have pictures of your rides, or info on where to get parts please leave a reply!

This is an AE86 Toyota Corolla Twin Cam 16v. Took the photo this weekend.
It's a friend of mine at one of our "home made events".

    No helmets!!!

The AE86 (sprinter its called here) is pretty sought after for its anorexic curb weight and 4A-GE 1.6L engine. It can have a real kick to it if you're not careful.

Initial D is fun, the Drift King has sure made the AE86 on the world map since he helped out on Initial D series, here in Norway i never even existed a car like that existed, the Corolla (what the model is called here) that we have is alot smaller and don't have that same engine
but, if i get the cash, i would like to Import a Toyota Trueno AE86 (hopefully with steeringwheel on LEFT side)

Not going that fast, so no big danger...
Better than an AE86, just a Miata...

The 4A-GE is a superb engine. Originally developed w/ the cooperation of Yamaha. First mass produced car to have 4-valve/cylinder. Sold as Toyota's Corolla GT-S/Sprinter/Apex/AE86 etc.

Still a viable race engine after all these years. Used by the Toyota Atlantic series in open-wheel race cars. See here, the cars make 250+ hp and are capable of 170 MPH. An awesome leaf blower if I may add.
