I think that the Mercedes EVOI and II were some of the coolest cars around even now in modern times.

Extremely cool car but the wing is a bit over the top.

Ah yes, quite a remarkable car. The 190 E seems to be the only car that is kind of ricer appealing that appeals to me.

Always have liked the looks of the 190, it's what I'd call an undestatedly handsome car. We used to have one a loooooooong time ago when I was a little kid, but my Ma got rid of it after some hose on the engine came loose and dented her hood; apparently that's a common problem. We never did have any other problems on it. But I'd stop short of saying it'll be a classic because I doubt most shadetree mechanics would want to deal with the modern electronics and tight tolerances of the car...

Such gorgeous car. I actually looked to buy one when I had plans to stay in Europe for a while before hitting a sad truth.

I did spot one in Monaco though long, long ago.
The owner has probably passed on now.

i love that car... anyone know if they have it in North America (more specifically Canada)...
it's one of the few sedans that looks good with the huge wing..

my family used to own an 190E-2.3, but that car had so many problem we had to replace it 2 years ago.. great car to drive though.. great feel and decently fast even with its heavy body

The engine in that car isn't Mercedes. It's actually a dedicated Cosworth donk that was based on the Mercedes four pot.

Apparently the Merc engine for the Zonda, top spec Brabus' and SLR are all built in the UK too.

Hello there, new member, was looking for stuff to spend my money on for my car and it brought me here.
I own a 190E, it's only a 2.3 8v very reliable, and while not "sports car" fast, still pretty quick, it has about 190k on it and running strong.
Looking around to see what upgrades I can do to it and honestly the EVO II AMG modified racing engine sounds perfect. I know it won't be cheap, but I think I've found what I need for the benz, That's all for now tho.
