today was a fun day. did an autox and there are always a good variety of interesting cars. there were a pair of X1/9s, a few elises, Z06s, a pair of vipers, about 6 datsun 510s, a really old datsun fairlady (i think) cabriolet, a chevy 210 wagon that was putting down some solid times, a cara iv'e sen before an early 80s fiesta with a ford 400ci in the back seat, and too many other interesting cars to really recount.

on the drive home, i saw a mini S works GP, and an NSX that looked like an R.

Yesterday at Platja d'Aro (a coast town north of Catalunya) an ur-Quattro, an F430 Spider, a racing Renault 4/4, an impecable Seat 600, a Seat 124 and a 124 Sport Coupe. It's curious that I get to see more interesting cars there than in Barcelona...

Getting there at all must have been quite an achievement, but surely they didn't win.

one of them, which i have seen race before as well, is a built race car. it has no windshield, completely redone suspension and a built motor. he was running about 5 seconds faster than me (he came on a trailer too, so no trouble getting there). the other one was stock, and while he had some excellent handling, he had no horsepower so was about 10 seconds slower than me.

It's undercover because nobody will think it's an actual police car. Or something.

I heard them say that on TV, so it must be true.

And actually, if he's one of those guys who keeps it floored all the time having a little more power (the prius doesn't have a whole lot of pickup after all) may actually help. Sort of.

This past two days, a Cadillac STS, a lovely 80's Toyota Celica Supra, a Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione, several 911 997 Turbos, another G this time a red saloon (maybe we are starting to buy them...) and an Abarth 500 SS with the Monza exhausts.
