I am a New Zealander, and I hate Greg Murphy. Yes, we exist.

Is this what is taught in schools over there? Being that New Zealand belongs to continental Australia?!?!

I'm sure our (fiercely independant) Kiwi cousins will be delighted .. NOT!

Here, some of you guys best absorb this quick lesson - gratis

    #1: Oceania is a region - not a continent
#2: Australia is the worlds smallest continent, and its biggest island
#3: New Zealand does not lie within our continental shelf. Hence it does NOT comprise part of, or belong to, continental Australia

    • Australia & Oceania

So if one chooses to ignore modifiers like "North" or "South," or the obvious fact that Europe and Asia are a single landmass, than the fact can be considered correct.
actually Europe was named after Europa, form Greek mythology origins. Some languages turned it into Europe (French, English) but many still call it Europa.....(like one of the moons of Jupiter)
